Our Bishop

Rt. Rev. Prof. Moses Masamba Nthukah

The Rt. Rev. Prof. Moses Masamba Nthukah was consecrated and enthroned as the second Bishop of the ACK Diocese of Mbeere on 12th October 2008.

Background and Formation

Rt. Rev. Prof. Moses Masamba Nthukah received his theological formation at St. Paul's University, Limuru, and pursued further academic studies at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, UK, where he attained a professorial level of qualification.

Episcopal Consecration

On 12th October 2008, following the retirement of the founding Bishop Rt. Rev. Gideon G. Ireri, Moses Masamba Nthukah was consecrated and enthroned as the second Bishop of the ACK Diocese of Mbeere — continuing the pastoral and spiritual leadership of the Diocese.

Role in the Anglican Church of Kenya

Bishop Nthukah also serves as Dean of the Province of the Anglican Church of Kenya, a role that places him among the senior leaders of the ACK under the Archbishop, The Most Rev. Dr. Jackson Ole Sapit.

Pastoral Vision

The Bishop leads the Diocese with a commitment to wholistic transformation — combining spiritual growth with socio-economic community development across the 6 archdeaconries and 72 parishes of the Diocese, among the Mbeere, Kamba, Embu and Kikuyu communities of Embu County.

Assistant Bishop

The Bishop is supported by The Rt. Rev. Dr. John Kimani Nthigah, consecrated as Assistant Bishop on 12th May 2024.
