Siakago Secondary School Classroom Block

Construction of a 6-classroom block at the diocesan-sponsored Siakago Secondary School to accommodate growing enrolment and reduce double-shifting.

← Back to Projects

About the Project

Siakago Secondary School, sponsored by the ACK Diocese of Mbeere, has experienced steady growth in student enrolment over recent years. To accommodate this growth and eliminate the need for double-shifting — where students share classrooms in separate morning and afternoon sessions — the Diocese initiated the construction of a new 6-classroom block.

The new block will provide adequate learning space for over 360 students, improving the quality of the learning environment and allowing teachers to deliver lessons to a single full cohort at a time.

What is Being Built

The project involves the construction of a permanent, stone-built classroom block comprising:

  • 6 fully equipped classrooms with adequate lighting and ventilation
  • Teacher preparation rooms attached to each wing
  • Ramp access for students with physical disabilities
  • External walkways connecting to the existing school buildings
